While she hasn't been behind the wheel much in 2021, Brittney Zamora made the most out of her start on Saturday night winning the Pro Late Model 100 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
Zamora took the lead on lap 83 of the 100 lap event, getting past former track champion Michael House who finished 0.526 seconds behind Zamora at the checkered flag. It was House himself who Zamora credits with teaching her the most when she made her first at the historic venue.
“I know it’s real, but I feel like it’s not real,” said Zamora. “This is crazy. This is my third time racing here. Last year, I was seventh and really happy with it. Coming back today, I was not expecting to win. I’m shaking, I can’t believe it.”
“I want to thank my family, my crew, the Rackley team, they’ve been super supportive since the beginning," Zamora added. I’ve been on a long break this season, so coming back and winning is insane.”
Could this be the beginning of something special for Zamora?
