Kyle Larson led wire to wire from the pole en route to a $25,000 Super Late Model victory on Thursday night at the Colossal 100.
Larson took home the 30-lapper, holding off a pesky Brandon Overton through lapped traffic, taking the Night 2 A-Main at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The main event went caution-free, leaving ample opportunity for Overton to close, but Larson maneuvered his No. 6 Rumley Enterprises Super Late Model perfectly through lapped cars for the victory.
Overton was followed by Wednesday night’s winner, Chris Madden, Tim McCreadie and Scott Bloomquist to round out the Top 5.
Larson led Group A qualifying, then cruised to a win in his heat race to take the pole position. It was his first win at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in a Super Late Model.
Larson joins Madden, McCreadie, Jonathan Davenport and Chris Ferguson as XR Super Series winners in the series’ inaugural season.
