When Kyle Busch runs one of his 5 maximum NASCAR Truck Series races each season, its easy to assume that he will dominate and win the race. Another Cup Series regular had something to say about that on Thursday night as William Byron took the victory.
Racing for Spire Motorsports in a part time effort, Byron made his way to the front of the field and then dominated near the end. While Johnny Sauter and Kyle Busch both ran strong, they just were not able to catch Byron who's truck appeared to be on rails as he raced around the paperclip shaped Martinsville Speedway.
This was the first win for William Byron at Martinsville Speedway and his 8th career Truck Series victory. He started in the 32nd position after qualifying was rained out earlier in the day.
